ហើរហៅភ្ញៀវសត្វទាំងអស់មកស៊ីការ ចាត់ពលខ្លះទៀតឲហើររកចំណីផ្លែឈើ
ស្រូវអង្ករត្រីសាច់គ្រប់មុខទាំងអស់ដើម្បីយកមករៀបចំទទួលភ្ញៀវសត្វ។
He ordered some of his
solders to invite all animals to join the wedding as guests and the other to fetch
fruits, rice, fish and meat to serve the guests.

As the date of the
wedding came, all the invited guests converged. They enjoyed the dinner and
produced loud cheers all across the forest.

កខ្វេសកខ្វាយទៅនឹងគេដែរ តែដោយហេតុជើងគាត់ខ្លីពេកក៏មកដល់ក្រោយគេ។
The tortoise, which was
also invited by the crow king, tried to come along by crawling slowly. Because
of his short legs, the tortoise was the last to arrive.

ឃើញពពួកសត្វគេស៊ីផឹកអ៊ូអរយ៉ាងក្រៃលែង ក៏នឹកឃ្លានស្រក់ទឹកម៉ាត់
មិនដឹងគិតធ្វើម្តេចនឹងឡើងទៅលើចុងត្នោតបាន។
On arrival, the tortoise
popped out his head and looked up. He saw all the animal guests cheerfully
enjoying the banquet. The scene made his mouth water and prompted him to find a
way of climbing up the palm tree.

អណ្តើកក៏សួរទៅពស់ថាៈ បងពស់ទៅណាដែរ? ពស់ឆ្លើយថាៈ ខ្ញុំបម្រុងនឹងទៅស៊ីការកូនបងក្អែក
ចុះបងអណ្តើកឯងវិញ មកទីនេះធ្វើអ្វីដែរ? ខ្ញុំបម្រុងនឹងទៅស៊ីការកូនបងក្អែកដែរ។
A snake just arrived. The
tortoise asked: “Where do you go, my brother snake?”. “I attend the wedding of the crow’s children.
And you! What for do you come here?” , replied the snake. The tortoise said
that he also attend the wedding party too.
ពស់ថាបើដូច្នេះចូរបងអណ្តើកខាំកន្ទុយខ្ញុំមក
ខ្ញុំនឹងលូនយោងឡើងទៅលើ តែសូមប្រយ័ត្នមាត់បន្តិច។ អណ្តើកត្រេកអរណាស់ ក៏ខាំកន្ទុយពស់ភ្លាម
ពស់ក៏លូនឡើងទៅលើចុងត្នោត។
The snake told the
tortoise to use his mouth to cling onto his tale while he was crawling up the
tree. The snake warmed the tortoise to watch his mouth. The tortoise was very
excited. He bit onto the snake’s tale, and the snake began crawling up.
លុះទៅដល់កត្នោតស្តេចក្អែកក្រឡេកឃើញអណ្តើកក៏
ស្រែកសួរជាការគួរសមថាៈ យី! បងអណ្តើកអញ្ជើញមកដែរ? អណ្តើកភ្លេចខ្លួនឆ្លើយទទួលនឹងពាក្យគួរសមនេះវិញថាៈ
“បាទ!”។
Almost near the top, the
crow welcomed the tortoise by asking: “Oh! Brother tortoise! You also come
along?”. Forgetting that his mouth was biting on the snake’s tale, the tortoise
acknowledged the greeting by saying: “Yes!”.
មួយរំពេចនោះអណ្តើកក៏របូតមាត់ពីកន្ទុយពស់
ធ្លាក់ខ្ពោកមកដល់ដីបណ្តាលឲខ្ទាំស្នូកនៅជាប់ស្នាមរហូតមកដល់សព្វថ្ងៃនេះឯង
ចំណីអាហារដែលប្រុងនឹងបានស៊ី ក៏ខានបានស៊ីថែមទាំងគ្រោះថ្នាក់ដល់ស្រាំស្នូកទៀត។
Suddenly, the tortoise’s
mouth slipped out of the snake’s tale, sending the reptile down to the ground.
The fall caused a crack in his shell until now. No food, And crack in the shell
What a pity for the tortoise!.
ហេតុនេះហើយបានជាមានចាស់តែងនិយាយឲមនុស្សដែលគេហៅទៅជប់លៀង
ឬបរិភោគអាហារក្នុងពិធីអ្វីមួយមនុស្សដែលគេហៅនោះទៅពុំទាន់ពេលម្ហូបអាហារក៏អស់ទៅ
លុះមនុស្សនោះទៅដល់ក្រោយគេៗច្រើននិយាយឲថា “មនុស្សមាត់អណ្តើក”។
That is why old people
always teasing a person that he has got “a tortoise mouth” when he is
invited to party or any other banquet, and arrives late, to find no more food
left for him.
