គឺជាទន្សាយមួយដ៏ឆោតល្ងង់ ហើយចូលចិត្តឡេះឡោះណាស់ ។ វាកំសាក់ណាស់សូម្បីតែរឿងអ្វីបន្តិចបន្តួចក៏ខ្លាចដែរ
។ ថ្ងៃមួយបាក់បានទៅដេកនៅក្រោមដើមដូងមួយ។ ពេលបាក់ដេកលង់លក់វាបានសុបិនឃើញរឿងអាក្រក់មួយ។
វាយល់សប្តិនឃើញថា ផែនដីទាំងមូលកំពុងតែប្រេះបែក។
Buck was a very silly and
foolish. He was so timid that he would get scared of the silliest of things.
One day, Buck was sleeping under coconut tree. In his deep sleep, Buck dreamt a
terrible dream. He saw that the whole Earth was cracking up!
នៅពេលនេះស្វាកំហូចមួយចំនួនកំពុងតែលេងនៅលើចុងដូង
ដែលបាក់កំពុងតែដេកពីក្រោម។ ស្វាទាំងនោះ កំបុងលោតជើងមួយជើងពីរនៅលើដើមឈើនេះ។
រំពេចនោះ ស្រាប់តែមានសម្លេងធ្លាក់ឮសូរក្តុក។ នោះកឺសំលេងធ្លាក់ផ្លែដូងដ៏ធំមួយមកលើដីក្បែរកន្លែងបាក់កំពុងតែដេក។
បាក់បានភ្ញាក់ឡើងព្រោះសំលេងធ្លាក់យ៉ាងខ្លាំងនេះហើយ
វាក៏ងើបអង្គុយខំផ្ទៀងស្តាប់ដោយបះត្រចៀកឡើងច្រូង។ វាឆ្ងល់ក្នុងចិត្តថា “តើនេះជាសម្លេងហីហ្នឹង?”។បន្តិចក្រោយមកក៏មានផ្លែដូងមួយទៀតធ្លាក់មកក្បែរខ្នងវាតែម្តង
ធ្វើអោយដីញ័ររំញ្ជួយ។ បាក់មិនបានងាកក្រោយមើលទាល់តែសោះ ហើយក៏ខំស្រែកថា “អូ!អូ!អូ!
តិចលោផែនដីកំពុងតែប្រេះបែកទៅហ្ន។ សុបិនរបស់ខ្ញុំហាក់បីដូចជាឆុតណាស់!”។
Now some naughty monkeys
were playing atop the coconut tree, under which Buck lay asleep. The monkey
jumped and hopped on the tree. Suddenly, there was a huge “THUD” it was the sound
of a big coconut that fell onto the ground, just next to where Buck was
sleeping.
Buck started up at this
noise and sat straight, pricking his ears. “What could that sound be?” wondered
he. And at that very moment, another coconut fell just behind Buck and shook
the ground. Not bothering to look behind, timid Buck cried, “Oh, Oh, Oh! It
seems that the Earth is cracking up! My dream seems to come true!!”

With this thought in his
mind, Buck jumped up, grabbed his tall hat and ran as fast as he could. All the
while Buck kept muttering “Oh, Oh, Oh,” Another rabbit, called Fluffy, was
enjoying the afternoon sunshine, lying on a hammock, with his goggles on.
Fluffy saw Buck running as if some hound was after him.

ផែនដីនេះកំពុងតែប្រេះបែកហើយ។”
As Buck running by,
Fluffy called after him, “Buck, why are you running so fast?” “Don’t ask me!”
Buck cried, panting and still running. Curiosity got the better of Fluffy and
he ran after Buck, Begging to know what was the matter. Buck said “Don’t you
know? The Earth is all breaking up”

Hearing this, Fluffy
became panicky. He threw away his goggle and off he ran, after Buck. The next
rabbit they met followed them as well when he heard that the Earth was all
breaking up. And in his way, one rabbit after another joined them, until there
were hundreds of rabbit running as fast as they could go.

ក្តាន់ស្តាប់មិនបានព្រោះសត្វទន្សាយទាំងអស់នាំគ្នាស្រែកព្រមគ្នា។
ក្តាន់ភ័យស្លន់ស្លោ ហើយក៏រត់តាមទន្សាយទាំងអស់នោះដែរ។
As these hundreds of
rabbits were running, they passed by a deer, who was grazing in the meadows.
When the deer raised his head to see what the matter was, the rabbits all cried
in unison. The deer could not understand because all the rabbits spoke
together. He panicked and followed the rabbits.
សត្វចចកបានឃើញហ្វូងសត្វទាំងនេះរត់។

A fox saw this big crowed
running. Ahead of this big marathon ran Buck, crying “Oh, Oh, Oh” When the fox
asked Buck the reason, he said, “Why, don’t you know that the world is cracking
up and coming to an end? If you want to save your life, run along with us.” So
the fox too, joined the race.

On and on they ran, and
very soon an elephant joined them. Next it was a rhino, who was following them.
The peacock, who was dancing in the wild, saw the huge crowd running, all
screaming, “The world is coming to an end!!!” And the peacock too joined the
marathon.
សត្វទាំងអស់នេះបានរត់កាត់ជម្រករបស់សត្វតោ
ហើយស្រែកឡើងព្រមៗគ្នាថា “ពិភពលោកទាំងមូល កំពុងតែដល់ទីបញ្ចប់ហើយ!
រត់ភ្លាមទៅដើម្បីរួចជីវិត។” សត្វតោចេញពីជម្រករបស់វាមកមានសេចក្តីភ្ញាក់ផ្អើលយ៉ាងខ្លាំងពេលបានឃើញសត្វទាំងអស់នោះនាំគ្នារត់ដោយមានទឹកមុខតក់ស្លុតក្រៃលែងបែបនេះ។
All these animals ran
past by a lion’s den, screaming, “All the world is coming to an end. Run to save
your life.” The lion came out of his den and was very surprised to see all the
animals running, with a look of fear over their faces.
សត្វតោគិតថា “អញឆ្ងល់ណាស់ថាតើសត្វទាំងនេះនាំគ្នាធ្វើអ្វី?
ប្រាកដជាមានអ្វីខុសពីប្រក្រតីមិនខានទេ ឬមួយប្រាកដជាមានពាក្យចចាមរ៉ាមណាមួយហើយមើលទៅ។” គិតហើយវាក៏រត់ទៅជើងភ្នំចំពីមុខសត្វទាំងឡាយ
ដែលកំពុងរត់នោះតែម្តងហើយក៏គ្រហឹមបីដង។ ពេលឭសម្លេងស្តេចតោនេះ
ហ្វូងសត្វទាំងនោះក៏ឈប់ភ្លាមតែម្តង។ តោបានសួរថា “ហេតុអ្វីក៏នាំគ្នារត់លឿនម្លេះ?” សត្វទាំងនោះឆ្លើយថា
“ស្តេចតោអើយផែនដីនេះកំពុងតែប្រេះបែកហើយ។
“I wonder what these
fools are up to? There must be some terrible mistake or some gossip,” Thought
the lion. So, he ran to the foot of a hill right in front of the running
animals, and roared three times. Hearing the loud roar of the King of Beasts,
the procession stopped at one. “Why are you running so fast?” asked the lion.
“Oh, King lion,” they answered him, “The Earth is all breaking up!”
តោបានសួរថា “អ្នកណាជាអ្នកឃើញផែនដីប្រេះបែក?” ដំរីឆ្លើយថា
“ខ្ញុំមិនដឹងទេ
សួរបងចចកទៅគាត់ជាអ្នកប្រាប់រឿងនេះដល់ខ្ញុំ។” ចចកឆ្លើយថា “ខ្ញុំមិនដឹងទេសួរបងក្តាន់ទៅ
គាត់ជាអ្នកប្រាប់ខ្ញុំ។” ហើយនៅពេលដែលតោសួរទៅក្តាន់ៗក៏ឆ្លើយថាគឺសត្វទន្សាយ។
ទន្សាយចង្អុលតៗគ្នាដោយនិយាយថា “ខ្ញុំមិនបានឃើញព្រឹត្តិការណ៍នេះទេ ប៉ុន្តែទន្សាយមួយផ្សេងទៀតជាអ្នកប្រាប់ខ្ញុំ។”
“Who saw it breaking up?”
asked the lion. “I didn’t” said the elephant. “Ask the fox. He told me about.”
“I didn’t” said the fox. “The deer told me about it.” and when the deer was
asked, he said, it was the rabbits. One after another, the rabbit pointed to
the other, saying, “I did not see it, but another rabbits told me about it”.
នៅទីបំផុត ស្តេចតោក៏បានសួរទៅបាក់។
បាក់ខំប្រមូលសេចក្តីក្លាហានឡើង ហើយបានដើរសំដៅទៅស្តេចតោដោយនិយាយថា “លោកម្ចាស់
ពេលខ្ញុំកំពុងដេកនៅក្រោមដើមដូង ខ្ញុំសុបិនថាផែនដីនេះកំពុងតែប្រេះបែក នៅពេលខ្ញុំឭសម្លេងក្តុក
ហើយកន្លែងដែលនៅជុំវិញខ្ញុំបានញ័ររញ្ជួយ។ ខ្ញុំគិតថាផែនដីកំពុងតែប្រេះបែកហើយៗ
ក៏រត់តែម្តង។”
At last, the lion came to
Buck. Buck mustered up his courage and came forward to the lion and said “O
king, I was sleeping under a coconut tree and was dreaming that the world was
breaking up, when I heard a big “THUD”! And then, there was another “THUD”, and
the ground near me shook!! Thought that the world was cracking up, and I run
away.”
ស្តេចតោនិយាយថា “ឯងនិងយើងត្រូវត្រឡប់ទៅកន្លែងដែលផែនដីចាប់ផ្តើបប្រេះបែក

ហើយក៏ចេញទៅយ៉ាងលឿនដូចព្យុះ។ ក្នុងពេលនោះសត្វដ៏ទៃទៀតរងចាំពួកគេទាំងពីរនាក់នៅជើងភ្នំ។
“Then,” said the lion, “you
and I will go back to the place where the Earth began to break up, and see what
the matter is.” So the lion put Buck on his back, and away they went, like the
wind. The other animals, meanwhile, waited for them at the foot of the hill.

When the lion and Buck
reached the spot where Buck was sleeping, the lion went round the place and saw
two huge coconuts lying by. Then he looked up the coconut tree and saw two monkeys
atop, looking down at them. It didn’t take long for the clever to understand
the whole incident.
ស្តេចតោបាននិយាយទៅកាន់បាក់ថា
“ហេតុអី្វក៏ឯងភ្លើបែបនេះ!
សម្លេងដែលឯងបានឭនេះជាសម្លេងផ្លែដូងធ្លាក់មកលើដីទេតើ!
ហើយផែនដីដែលញ័រក៏ព្រោះតែផ្លែដូងទាំងពីរនេះធ្លាក់មកលើដីនេះឯង!!។” ក្រោយមកស្តេចតោបានត្រឡប់ទៅរកសត្វដ៏ទៃទៀតហើយប្រាប់ពួកគេអំពីហេតុការណ៍ដែលបានកើតឡើងពិតប្រាកដ។
សត្វទាំងអស់នាំគ្នាអស់សំណើចនឹងភាពល្ងង់ខ្លៅគ្មានចេះពិចារណារបស់ខ្លួនហើយក៏នាំគ្នាត្រឡប់ទៅផ្ទះវិញ៕
The lion said to Buck, “Why,
you fool! It must have been the sound pf the coconut falling to the ground that
you heard! And the Earth shook became those two coconuts fell onto the ground!!”
Then the lion went back to the other animals, and told them all about what had
actually happened. All the animals laughed at their own foolishness and
returned home.
